Reading 1) Students will reread the informational text in their home learning folders titled, "Bats!" After reading through the text, students will answer questions 1 through 3 on the next page. Watch the video below on main idea and supporting details to help you answer the questions: Writing 1) Today we are going to practice informative writing. Watch the short video below that reviews informative writing: 2) Using the internet, look up information on an animal of your choice. Write a paragraph introducing the animal you chose and then include facts about the animal. 3) When you are finished with your writing, draw a picture to go with your writing and go back and edit any mistakes you might have made (grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation). Math 1) Students will complete Module 4 Lesson 18 Problem Sheet, Homework Sheet and Exit Ticket. Click the file below to download the problems. After reading through the text, students will fill out the chart on the next page. Students are to describe/explain how avocado seeds and giant sloths are connected according to the reading. After filling out the chart, students will order the events of the reading in order from 1 through 6 on the same page. Writing 1) Answer the following prompt in a paragraph: You wake up as a bird. You soar into the skies and look down. What do you see and where do you go? Try your best to stretch your sentences out with lots of detail!
